Shining our light so God will be glorified!

Sometimes life’s voyages are across calm and crystal blue waters - beneath sunny skies highlighted by wispy clouds. Far too often, though, skies become angry and howling winds whip dark waters into pounding waves. The good news is that there is a safe harbor. Jesus – the Light of the world - will reach you where you are and guide you to that place of rest. We simply want to be a place that shines His Light for all to see.

It is great arrogance to think we can approach God on our own, without a priest; but it is great superstition to think we need a priest other than Jesus Christ. -- David Guzik

Feel free to look around this site; it is small, and simple. First, though, please join us in prayer for our nation. The prayer below is adapted from Daniel 9:4-19 (NASB). Remember to pray, without ceasing, for our nation. the apostle Paul said: "...I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.." (I Timothy 2:1-5, NASB). Then, sisters and brothers, "...pray for us [at Lighthouse Worship Center] that the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified,..." (II Thessalonians 3:1, NASB). Thank you.

Our Prayer for Our Nation

O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments, we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. Moreover, we have not listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our forefathers and all the people of the land. Righteousness belongs to You, O Lord, but to us open shame, as it is this day, because of the unfaithful deeds which we have committed against You. Open shame belongs to us all, O Lord, because we have sinned against You.

To the Lord our God belong compassion and forgiveness, for we have rebelled against Him; nor have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in His teachings which He set before us through His servants the prophets. Calamity has come on us; yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our iniquity and giving attention to Your truth. The LORD our God is righteous with respect to all His deeds which He has done, but we have not obeyed His voice. And now, O Lord our God, who have brought this people to this country, with a mighty hand, and have made a name for Yourself, as it is this day, we have sinned, we have been wicked.

O Lord, in accordance with all Your righteous acts, let now Your anger and Your wrath turn away from us; for because of our sins and iniquities we have become a reproach to all those around us. So now, our God, listen to the prayers of Your servants and to our supplications, and for Your sake, O Lord, let Your face shine on this nation - Your desolate sanctuary. O my God, incline Your ear and hear! Open Your eyes and see our desolations; for we are not presenting our supplications before You on account of any merits of our own, but on account of Your great compassion. O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, listen and take action! For Your own sake, O my God, do not delay...
